Galway Local Voluntary Youth Council
Galway Local Voluntary Youth Council is a broad based representative voluntary forum consisting of community, voluntary and statutory agencies involved in youth service provision. Galway Local Voluntary Youth Council provides support to young people and volunteers through a number of initiatives including:
- Support for the further development of Comhairle na nÓg.
- Galway Local Voluntary Youth Council is working with the Galway Volunteer Centre specifically in the dissemination of information to organisations working with young people, including the printing of a booklet and support of website costs.
- Support for Young Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Ethnic Minorities in conjunction with Galway Youth Information Centre and the Support Project for Adolescent Refugee Kids (SPARK).
- Training for volunteers working with young people.
- Hosting and updating the Galway Youth Council website and youth directory.
